I caught the article in the New York Times the other day about kiva.org and I think it's an amazing idea. (Article is featured on the Kiva homepage.)
What did you dream about last night?
The other night I had a dream that featured Sander Vanocur (who I haven't seen or thought about in at least 20 years), Jimmie Piersall (ditto), the San Francisco Police Department, and Jerry and Elaine from Seinfeld. Don't remember the story but it must have been a doozy.

Windows, Mac, Linux - What's your preference and why?
Submitted by ramblingsbymark. If you're a gamer, or in a corporate environment, Windows is probably it. I've made a pretty good living doing Windows administration over the last many years, so I can't complain. Also done a bit of Unix. In a large organization those are the choices. Personally, though, I could live with Linux. I've played around with Red Hat, Suse, Ubuntu - they're all ok, especially if most of what you do is on the web or if you're a coder type. But the new Mac Books are pretty sexy. Thinking about one of those for my next laptop.
